Mila 23 is an island in the middle of Danube Delta, which can by reach from Tulcea only by boat.
How to get to Tulcea City
To get from Bucharest to Tulcea, drive on the A2 Highway (Autostrada Soarelui), leave the highway at Km 105 and drive to Slobozia, and then follow the route to Constanta (E 60), cross over the Danube on the Giurgeni -Vadu Oii bridge and after going through Harsova, on exiting the city, leave the road leading to Constanta and follow the road post to Tulcea (DN 22A).
If you come from Constanta, leave the city towards Ovidiu (Harsova), and after crossing over the Midia Navodari Channel, follow the road post turning right to Tulcea (DN 22).
If you come from Braila and Galati, cross over the Danube by ferry (there is at least one ferry leaving each of the two cities every hour) and then follow the road posts to Tulcea.
Once you get to Tulcea, you have two options to get to Mila 23:
- Transfer using the boarding-house’s boats
- Passenger ships of the Navrom Tulcea
