HOW TO GET TO US

Mila 23 is an island in the middle of Danube Delta, which can by reach from Tulcea only by boat.

How to get to Tulcea City

To get from Bucharest to Tulcea, drive on the A2 Highway (Autostrada Soarelui), leave the highway at Km 105 and drive to Slobozia, and then follow the route to Constanta (E 60), cross over the Danube on the Giurgeni -Vadu Oii bridge and after going through Harsova, on exiting the city, leave the road leading to Constanta and follow the road post to Tulcea (DN 22A).

If you come from Constanta, leave the city towards Ovidiu (Harsova), and after crossing over the Midia Navodari Channel, follow the road post turning right to Tulcea (DN 22).

If you come from Braila and Galati, cross over the Danube by ferry (there is at least one ferry leaving each of the two cities every hour) and then follow the road posts to Tulcea.

Once you get to Tulcea, you have two options to get to Mila 23:

  • Transfer using the boarding-house’s boats
  • Passenger ships of the Navrom Tulcea

TRANSFER BY OUR BOATS

The parking lot is within PORT AVAL TULCEA which is located on Gradinarilor Street. You can find PORT AVAL TULCEA on Google Maps or Waze.

The parking fee is 6 Euro/car/day.

The trip to Mila 23 is about 1,5 hours and if you schedule the trip in advance you have the advantage of sailing at any time, without having to comply with a certain departure hour. Please note that, out of security reasons, the boats only travel by daylight, and thus can leave Tulcea one hour before it gets dark, at the latest.

For a group made up of at least 6 persons, the price for one trip is 90 lei/person per segment (25 Euro to Mila 23/ 25 Euro back to Tulcea).

For smaller groups, the price / person increases according to the boat type used.

WITH THE BIG BOAT

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

In this case, you can park your car in the parking lot of the Tulcea harbour or in the parking lot in front of Casa Sindicatelor in Tulcea. In both cases, the parking fee is 6 lei/car/day.

Navrom Tulcea has 6 scheduled Tulcea-Sulina trips per week. The ships leave the Tulcea harbour at 13.30 and in the Crisan locality you take a smaller ship to Mila 23.

The price is 15 Euro/person

The trip to Mila 23 takes 4,5 hours.
